- Financial Assistant Accountant role with high visibility, partnering with key internal Stakeholders
- Work onsite in our Head Office – based in Abbotsford
Our Finance team is positioned at the centre of our business, playing a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making across every division. Working within a dedicated team with a shared solutions-focused and continuous improvement mindset, this role is an exciting step for someone who is currently working towards being a CPA a CA member or a recent Graduate.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to our Financial Accountant, you will be responsible the following:
- Preparation of reconciliations for Balance Sheet recs, as part of month-end
- Assist in the collation of audit samples as part of the year-end close
- Assisting the Finance Officer with queries on the Retail daily bank reconciliations
- Assist Accountant with Rent invoice vs Lease eagle checks
- Cost centre reallocation
- Assisting with Fixed Assets & BAS preparation
- Providing ad-hoc support to the Finance Team as needed
- Involvement and support with business transformation projects as Finance Representative, to provide input on the financial impact of new business processes implemented
More about You
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting system use – M3 preferable
- Graduate-level work experience is advantageous
- Highly motivated, well organised and a proactive approach
- Strong attention to detail
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage changing priorities, multiple simultaneous projects and solve queries
- Experience in a retail (or multi-site) banking environment is advantageous
