HR Generalist | Melbourne Head Office

Job Description

At Munro Footwear Group, MFG, we're looking for a proactive and organised HR Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of our HR Team, on a 12-month Fixed Term contract.  

 
About the role  

Reporting to the People Services Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth and compliant HR processes across the employee lifecycle. You'll be a trusted point of contact, supporting everything from onboarding through to offboarding, while also contributing to broader People & Culture initiatives and projects. 

• Deliver day-to-day HR operational support, responding to employee and manager queries via phone and email across general HR matters, including policy and Award interpretation, grievance support, performance and personal injury 
• Provide practical, compliance-led advice and coaching to stakeholders on ER-related matters and shadow People Services Manager on escalated cases; 
• Support end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes across the support office, retail network and distribution centre, 
• Prepare and issue HR correspondence for both individuals and groups as required. 
• Execute change forms and letters of variation, and maintain accurate and up-to-date organisational charts 
• Ensure employee documentation is accurately filed and maintained 
• Coordinate ad-hoc People & Culture activities and contribute to HR projects and cyclical activities as required 

 About you 

• Experience in a high-volume administration or HR support role is essential  
• HR and/or payroll experience is advantageous 
• Experience working in a retail environment is highly regarded 
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential information appropriately 
• Excellent communication and organisational skills 
• A proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to juggle competing priorities
