Our finance team at Munro Footwear Group has an exciting new role for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the financial team and focus on continuous improvement projects and internal stakeholder engagement across the broader business.
This role will see you bring your people and finance skills to the forefront with ownership for preparation of financials for month end, statutory reporting for year-end and coordinating the interim and annual audit. As well as partnering with the wider business to drive and execute large scale optimisation projects. You will report to our GM Finance and lead a talented team of three. Not only are the accountancy team a wonderful bunch, but you'll be joining our business at a time of transformation and accelerated growth. While leading and mentoring our accounting team, you will bring your communication skills, technical skills and relationship building skills to the forefront.

Coming from a fast-paced retail environment would be a distinct advantage, as you will partner across divisions with complex and varied operations. Experience providing insightful ideas on process improvement and proven experience from an auditing background would also add value.
The Accounting Manager is responsible for:
- Preparing financial statements in line with the month end timetable
- Preparing year-end statutory reports in line with accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements
- Co-ordinating the year end audit process by liaising with external auditors
- Partnering with the wider business to execute large scale projects for optimisation
- Advising on financial practices and continuous improvement opportunities.
More about You.
- You will have qualifications such as; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and be a Qualified Accountant or in the progress of obtaining (e.g. CA, CPA, or equivalent)
- We will be looking for a minimum 3 -5 years' experience within accountancy, or auditing space
- Highlighted previous experience in a retail (or multi-site) would be an advantage but not essential
- You will have recent examples of strong team leadership skills and the ability to present your ideas and findings clearly and confidently.
- Infor/M3 experience is an advantage alongside advanced PowerBI, Microsoft SAP skills
- Solutions-focused and continuous improvement mindset
- Highly motivated, well organised and a proactive approach
