Munro Footwear Group is moving into an exciting time of transformation with the creation of a new and strategic executive role being introduced into MFG's leadership team, as
General Manager | Brands & Customer. With our customers at the heart of everything we do, we are looking for an exceptional people leader, with a blue print of experience driving innovative retail marketing strategies across multiple brands and a commercially savvy approach to join our business. This role will drive engagement and foster a customer and brand focused strategy across the marketing of our suite of brands.
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager | Brands & Customer is responsible for:
- Leading the development and execution of brand strategy, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends. This role will focus on enhancing brand equity, driving customer engagement and fostering a customer-centric culture across MFG.
- Managing and overseeing all Marketing activities and functions, ensuring alignment with broader business strategy, to maximise financial goals and enhance the profile and position of the business in market.
- Collaboratively work with cross functional teams to execute the delivery of exceptional customer experience across all relevant channels

You are a natural and engaging people leader working well with a matrix structure to engage cross functional teams and internal communication. With a success-driven, collaborative approach to influencing change across your groups you will thrive in a space of creating customer-centric strategies to ensure commercial outcomes.
Skills and Experience
- 10+ years' experience in equivalent senior Marketing role with exposure leading brand and customer functions.
- Passion for omnichannel Retail with strong commercial and financial acumen and proficient in all marketing and digital technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Excellent technical abilities with detailed understanding of best practices for integrated marketing campaigns, customer support systems and CRM. An analytical mindset, with an extensive understanding of leveraging customer data and marketing technology.
- A proven track record of achieving commercial targets – including post-campaign analysis and reporting.
- Experience in translating strategic plans into operational delivery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Highly strategic, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to support and nurture a large team
- Growth mindset to support new thinking and opportunity generation.
