We have an exciting new opportunity for a proactive internal Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team based in Port Melbourne. As a true recruitment specialist you will partner with stakeholders across support office and our retail business in the full spectrum of recruitment activity. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead, you will deliver end to end recruitment across all roles including sourcing, interviewing, reference checking and offer.

As our Talent Acquisition Specialist you will:

  • Handle high volume recruitment roles across our support offices and our retail stores
  • Take in briefs and guide managers on the recruitment process, post ads, screen and interview candidates and negotiate offers
  • Proactively source candidates by utilising an array of tools and outlets including job boards, networking forums, shopping centres, and scouting the market
  • Organise interviews between applicants and line managers
  • Manage all aspects of pre-employment on boarding including contract generation in a timely manner
  • Ensure all paperwork is received and completed for payroll and processing
  • Ensure new appointments are within allocated budget
  • Engage appropriate assessment tools and pre-employment checks to ensure recruitment success
  • Monitor and report on recruitment activity and outcomes
  • Manage the end to end recruitment for our Back To School project

To be successful, you will have:

  • 2 years high volume recruitment experience preferably in retail (agency or internal)
  • Previous headhunting/sourcing experience - working with hard to fill roles will be highly advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Genuine passion for retail and recruitment / talent acquisition
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR systems
  • Knowledge of working with recruitment systems
  • Team-based attitude; willing to go outside of required duties to support the team to achieve objectives.
  • Confidence to work autonomously & a driven self-starter to achieve results – you will be
  • Availability to start immediately and hit the ground running
