About the role
This is a newly created and critically important opportunity to join our business, as GM Procurement reporting into our Chief Merchandise Officer. You'll ensure optimal performance of our suppliers, seeking opportunities to develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships. Core to the mandate with be to lead initiatives to ensure our supplier partners from around the world are compliant, with a focus on those that require remediation.

We're searching for a skilled and seasoned Sourcing and Procurement professional, with the ability to prioritise compliance obligations, as well as the dexterity to “read” the market. You'll have experience with offshore markets, preferably China, coupled with experience in apparel, fashion or footwear categories. Leading a strategic sourcing function, with the ability to establish effective strategies, policies, processes, and systems required to underpin such a function will be established ground.
Coupled with your professional track record will be adept relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers. Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets is key to this role, along with the ability to find the middle ground between compliance requirements and commercial needs.
